On Tuesday, Gov. Ron DeSantis urged residents of the state to make a plan and stock their emergency supply kits.
The state of emergency declaration, issued for 25 counties, “ensures communities have the time and resources necessary to prepare for potential severe weather impacts to the Panhandle and Big Bend region of Florida,” he said in a post on X .
