Hunting behavior drives the evolution of spider eye arrangements, study finds

A study of 52 spider species reveals that hunting behavior is a primary driver in the evolution of diverse eye arrangements. Researchers found that visually active hunters have evolved to cluster multiple eye pairs at the front of their bodies to better judge distance and navigate.
