Huge blow as 231-game star ruled out of AFL prelim, popular veteran misses grand final

The Sydney Swans have confirmed that Justin McInerney will make his long-awaited in the AFL preliminary final against Fremantle, however Joel Amartey will remain on the sidelines and Harry Cunningham has also been ruled out. Meanwhile, Jake Kolodjashnij has reportedly been ruled out of playing in the VFL final for Geelong.
Both McInerney (hamstring) and Amartey (Achilles) haven't played at AFL or VFL in three months. Swans coach Dean Cox revealed on Thursday that McInerney will play against the Dockers , but the form of key forward Hayden McLean has kept Amartey out.
