Huawei is about to ship a phone that looks like a foldable but doesn’t fold. The company’s unnamed widescreen device — codenamed KZB , according to Weibo tipster FixedFocus — just jumped from a late-2026 timeline to a September launch. The latest leak from tipster SmartPikachu says the device is ready and will likely launch alongside the Mate XT 2 triple foldable or the flagship Mate 90 series next month.
That 16:10 ratio is the headline. Most smartphones today use something around 20:9 — tall, narrow, designed to scroll vertically. This phone goes in the opposite direction. It’s visibly wider, closer to what you’d see on a compact tablet or the inner display of a foldable.
