Huawei records smartphone sales jump globally in 2Q26: Counterpoint

Huawei smartphone sales are making gradual progress globally, and in 2Q26 , the company witnessed significant growth. While the Chinese company didn’t make it into the top five on the list, it saw a sharp year-over-year increase in shipments.
Counterpoint has released its analysis of the 2Q26 global smartphone sales market, in which Samsung reclaimed the top spot, with Apple following closely .
Samsung holds 24% of the market share in the second quarter of this year, with the strongest growth among its competitors – special thanks to the Galaxy S26 Ultra that appeared as a “standout performer” in the market due to AI and Privacy Display .
