HSL delivers diving support vessel Nipun to Navy

Hindustan Shipyard Limited (HSL) delivered Nipun, a state-of-the-art Diving Support Vessel (DSV), to the Indian Navy on Thursday, marking a major boost to the country’s underwater strategic capabilities and maritime preparedness.
The delivery comes exactly a year after the HSL successfully handed over INS Nistar, further cementing the shipyard’s reputation for constructing complex strategic platforms and driving indigenous defence manufacturing under the Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative.
Rear Admiral Arvind Rawal, Chief Staff Officer (Tech), Western Naval Command, and Chairman of the D448 Committee, alongside Rear Admiral Chandrasekharan Raghuram (Retd.), Chairman and Managing Director of HSL, signed the acceptance document.
