HRD Minister Lokesh to lay stone for two clean energy projects worth ₹5,750 crore in Rayalaseema on July 30
Andhra Pradesh IT & HRD Minister Nara Lokesh will lay the foundation for two major clean energy projects in Rayalaseema. The 800 MW wind and solar projects, developed by Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited, represent a ₹5,750 crore investment.

IT & HRD Minister Nara Lokesh will lay the foundation stone for clean energy projects totalling 800 MW to be established in Anantapur and Kurnool districts by Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL) with an investment of ₹5,350 crore, at Pattikonda on July 30.
These projects are a 400-MW wind project at Kanekal in Anantapur district (₹3,500 crore) and a 400-MW solar power project at Pattikonda in Kurnool (₹2,250 crore). The objective is to meet the clean energy needs of large-scale industries coming up in the State, according to an official release.
The TPREL project at Pattikonda is being set up on 2,700 acres and the one at Kanekal on 760 acres. Together, these projects will generate employment to about 4,000 people during the construction phase.
