The Telangana Human Rights Commission has taken suo motu cognisance of the food contamination incident in a Nagarkurnool school that affected 27 students on Thursday (July 9, 2026).
Learning of the development from media outlets, the HRC called for a detailed report from the District Collector, Nagarkurnool, on the circumstances leading to the incident, the present health condition of the students, the inquiry findings, sample analyses of the food and water, and action taken against the persons and agencies responsible.
