HPV9 vaccine, or Gardasil 9, to be added to national immunisation schedules from January 2027

Singapore will add the HPV9 vaccine to its national immunization schedules starting January 2027, providing broader protection against cervical cancer. The government will also introduce subsidies for eligible citizens and permanent residents to improve vaccine accessibility.
Why it matters
Expanding immunization coverage is a key public health strategy to reduce long-term cancer rates and healthcare costs.
The HPV9 vaccine, which offers broader protection against cervical cancer than HPV2, will be fully subsidised for eligible Singaporean children.
