‘Hoysala Hustle’ is back this November

The 'Hoysala Hustle' cultural run is returning to Bengaluru on November 1 to celebrate Karnataka Rajyotsava. The event uniquely blends endurance sports with coastal Karnataka's cultural heritage, including traditional performances and storytelling.
Why it matters
Cultural sporting events promote regional heritage and community engagement through tourism and physical activity.
Hoysala Hustle, a thematic cultural run to mark Karnataka Rajyotsava, will mark its second edition this year on November 1 on NICE Road, Bengaluru.
It will have 21K, 10K, 5K and 3K race categories, and it combines endurance sport with culture, heritage, music, performance and storytelling, said Ankur Bhasin, race director of Hoysala Hustle, in a release.
The focus will be coastal Karnataka, with the race route coming alive with cultural expressions and performances including Yakshagana, Pili Nalike, Siddhi Dhamal, Hagalu Vesha, Dollu Kunitha, Mangaluru Chende and Kolata, creating an experience rarely associated with a road race.
