Woodbury voters living outside the country, including military members, State Department employees, Peace Corps volunteers and students studying abroad, can use Minnesota’s military and overseas voting process if they otherwise meet voting requirements. Eligible spouses and dependents of military members can also use the process.
The Minnesota Secretary of State’s Office recommends applying at least two months before an election to allow time for the application to be processed and the ballot to be sent and returned. The recommended application date for the Nov. 3 general election was Aug. 28, but the online application remains available. Tell your overseas friends and relatives to begin the process now.
Voters can apply online or download and complete the Federal Post Card Application . The ballot application also serves as a voter registration application, so applicants do not need to register separately.
