Every year, the "Man Van" brings an essential service to men in Okotoks.
You may have noticed their large, trailer-like vehicle at this year's Show & Shine, spotted one of their many signs and wondered: "What is a Man Van?"
This uniquely branded vehicle has been a staple at the Okotoks Show & Shine for many years, providing a mobile men's health clinic to those in attendance.
The mobile clinic travels to events across Alberta, offering free prostate-specific antigen (PSA) blood testing used for the early detection of prostate cancer.
For longtime volunteer Reb Bishop, who was at the 2026 Show & Shine, the cause hits especially close to home.
"I went through the whole journey starting 12 years ago," he says. "And I said, you know, if I can pay that forward when I retire, I'm going to."
