Lesley Webb says she took on her side hustle after she spotted someone wanting to find a new owner for it, in a networking group she was part of.

"As a serial volunteer, I couldn't resist a chance to get involved in something that ticked all the boxes for my skillset - I'm a graphic designer who provides marketing support to mainly corporate clients."

The side hustle is Indie Books, an organisation that showcases books from independent New Zealand authors.

"I knew it wouldn't make a lot of money but I find it's a great outlet for my own creativity and helps me to keep learning and honing my professional skills, which then feeds back into my day job."
