We've been talking a lot about how new technology has been impacting Australians.
But what about when they lose access to old technology?
The Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman recently made several recommendations for how telcos, government and regulators could improve services in regional areas, after analysing 27,000 complaints made over two years .
The complaints included a loss of coverage since the 3G network was shut off, unacceptable delays in connections and repairs, and concerns about Triple Zero (000).
ABC's Lauren Pezet spoke to NSW resident Gerry McLaughlin.
