In the age of AI, career aspirations are increasingly being shaped through feeds, creators, recommendation engines, and viral narratives.
With India crossing 958 million Internet users in 2025, youngsters between 15 and 24 years now spend anywhere between three and seven hours daily on digital platforms, according to the Internet in India Report 2025 . Social media has become a parallel career ecosystem with platforms continuously exposing students to ideas of what success should look like, which industries are “future-proof”, and which career paths are considered aspirational.
