Why it matters
Highlights the ongoing tension between traditional creative industries and the integration of generative AI, specifically regarding labor costs and production efficiency.
The story is the most important part of an anime. Bad story-bad show that's it. Here's how we take a story and turn it into one. Technically, we're a "100% AI generated" anime studio, but that ignores the majority of the parts of a good anime: the writing, the editing, the directing. We tried to hand all of that to AI too (trust us, we tried many, many times), and it just doesn't work. Three of the four stages below are entirely human made. LLMs don't have good taste, at least not in our experience. There's one stage that isn't human made (the drawing part), and we've found that AI is good enough to make good anime. -->
