The Centre recently reorganised the ministry of housing and urban affairs into two separate departments, aiming to streamline the administration of the national capital and urban development. After the change, key real estate bodies such as the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) and the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) framework now fall under distinct administrative wings.What changes?The newly created Department of Capital Development will oversee institutions and projects linked to the national capital, including DDA, Central Public Works Department (CPWD) and Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC).
