Hormuz oil flows reach 10M+ bpd

Between 10 million and 11 million barrels of oil are passing through the Strait of Hormuz each day, a senior White House official told Agence France-Presse (AFP) on Saturday, playing down the impact of restrictions imposed by Iran on the strategic waterway.

Speaking on condition of anonymity, the official said signs of Iran's influence over the gateway are weakening week by week, as alternative routes developed by the US Navy help keep commercial shipping moving.
