Honor’s iPhone Duo rival is said to arrive in January

Honor is reportedly preparing to launch a new wide-format foldable smartphone in January featuring a large battery and a 200MP camera. The device is expected to compete directly with high-end foldables from Samsung and Apple.
Why it matters
This signals increasing competition in the premium foldable smartphone market, with manufacturers focusing on hardware specifications like battery capacity and camera quality to differentiate their products.
Honor could be the next major phone maker to jump into the wide-format foldable race.
A new leak claims the company is preparing a foldable with a larger outer screen, a roomy inner display and a huge battery, potentially putting it on a collision course with Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Apple’s iPhone Duo.
According to leaker Digital Chat Station , Honor’s upcoming foldable will feature a 5.5-inch outer display and a 7.6-inch inner display. The phone is also tipped to pack a 7,000mAh-plus battery, which would give it plenty of capacity compared to Samsung and Apple’s competing options.
