Honor Robot Phone Unboxing Video Just Leaked - And It Makes Your Gimbal Look Obsolete

A leaked video reveals the Honor Robot Phone, a smartphone featuring a built-in 4DoF motorized gimbal camera. The device aims to replace standalone handheld gimbals by offering professional-grade stabilization and cinematic recording features.
Why it matters
This represents a significant hardware innovation in mobile photography, potentially disrupting the market for external camera stabilization accessories.
A leaked unboxing video of the Honor Robot Phone just hit Weibo. It answers one of the biggest questions people have had since Honor first teased the device in October 2025. The camera arm actually works, and it’s fast. Anyone who’s carried a DJI Osmo Pocket through an airport or balanced a gimbal on a café table will immediately understand the pitch. Honor wants to kill the handheld gimbal as a separate product category entirely.
The unboxing clip is short but revealing. The phone sits on the left side of a retail box, with the slogan “Your First Robot Phone” printed on the right. Inside the box: a protective case, a USB-C cable, and a 120W charger. The clip shows the 200MP gimbal camera deploying from the rear in about 0.8 seconds. It locks into position and tracks a moving subject while the phone stays still.
