Andhra Pradesh Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha has directed the officials to set up control rooms and take measures to prevent human and property loss in view of the heavy rainfall prediction for the next 72 hours.
Reviewing the situation following the low pressure area over South Odisha and North Andhra coasts on Friday, she directed the officials concerned to disseminate information to the public and caution them on rainfall and weather conditions.
“People are advised to dial 112, 1070, or 18004250101 for help in emergency,” the Home Minister said, and asked the people to stay alert in the coastal districts likely to be affected.
