Holiday for educational institutions in Wayanad on August 5

Wayanad District Collector D.R. Meghashree, who is also the Chairperson of the District Disaster Management Authority, has declared a holiday for all educational institutions in the district on Wednesday (August 5) following the India Meteorological department’s forecast of heavy rainfall.
The holiday will also apply to religious classes, tuition centres, coaching institutes and special classes. However, residential schools and residential colleges can function as usual.
The Collector urged the public to exercise extreme caution as heavy rainfall had been forecast for the district.
