Educational institutions in the Kuttanad and Chengannur taluks have been ordered to close on Monday due to waterlogging from heavy rains. The closure includes schools currently serving as relief camps for displaced residents.

Educational institutions in Chengannur and Kuttanad taluks, including professional colleges, anganwadis and tuition centres, will remain closed on Monday in view of waterlogging in several parts of the district following heavy rain and the functioning of relief camps in schools, announced the District Collector Shaji V. Nair. The closure will also apply to institutions housing relief camps. However, examinations scheduled previously will be held as planned.
