Hong Kong actor Mat Yeung's roast meat restaurant in Selangor has been temporarily shut down by the Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ), just 10 days after opening its doors officially.
A closure notice was posted outside the SS2 premises on Monday (Aug 24), stating that the restaurant was required to cease operations from 1pm that day.
The notice cited alleged breaches involving the restaurant's licence and use of the premises.
In a statement on social media, the restaurant confirmed the temporary closure and apologised to customers for any inconvenience caused.
It said the action followed the authorities' discovery that its kitchen was occupying part of a public space.
"Following the authorities' instructions, we will close for two days to make the necessary adjustments before resuming normal operations on Wednesday, Aug 26," the statement said.
