A 24-year-old fisherman and history-sheeter from New Washermenpet, was found dead in suspicious circumstances on Sunday (August 2, 2026). The Fishing Harbour Police have filed a case and are investigating.
A senior official of the City Police said E. Naresh Kumar was a resident of Poondi Thangammal Street in New Washermenpet. The deceased, who was an associate of the notorious history-sheeter Kulla Karthik, had more than 12 criminal cases against him including murder and attempt to murder.
