According to the police, the complainant, Soban Yadav, 28, a native of Kosapet, runs a roadside chaat stall. On Sunday night, two men allegedly purchased samosas from the stall.
When Soban Yadav asked them to pay, the duo abused him, attacked him with an empty bottle, and threatened him with a knife, demanding money. Both of them fled the spot as members of the public gathered.
The injured vendor sustained bleeding injuries and was admitted to the Government Kilpauk Medical College Hospital for treatment.
