Hip vertical motion effects on walking gait for biped robots
Researchers from the Taiyuan Institute of Technology have developed a new gait model for bipedal robots that mimics human hip vertical motion. The study demonstrates that incorporating this oscillation reduces mechanical energy consumption by approximately 14% compared to fixed-height walking.
