The 21-day Hindu Mahaganpati festival, organised by the Hindu Mahaganpati Utsav Samiti, concluded on Sunday with the immersion of the idol at S.B. Lake following a colourful procession through the city.
The procession began at a venue near the Kalaburagi Fort after special prayers and religious rituals. Seers, public representatives and leaders from various organisations participated in the procession.
The procession passed through Humnabad Base, Kirana Bazar, Chowk Police Station, Cloth Bazar, Super Market and Jagat Circle before reaching the immersion point.
