Himachal Pradesh implemented a mandatory dress code for teachers across 148 government CBSE schools on Thursday, attempting to create a more organised and professional learning environment.A notice dated September 10 explained that the prescribed dress code has been formulated "keeping in view the professional requirements of the teaching profession, uniformity in appearance and the climatic conditions of Himachal Pradesh."The dress code's colour palette includes light lilac, lilac purple and navy blue, with black prescribed for footwear and other specified accessories.The prescribed dress code offers female teachers three alternatives: a saree with a blazer, a kurta/kameez with pants, a plazo or salwar and a blazer, and a shirt and blazer with pants and a tie.
