MANILA, Philippines - The 22nd day of Vice President Sara Duterte's impeachment trial focused on the identities of alleged recipients of confidential funds released by the Office of the Vice President (OVP) and the Department of Education (DepEd).
Philippine Statistics Authority Assistant National Statistician Marizza Grande testified for the prosecution and confirmed that several names listed as confidential fund payees could not be found in the agency's civil registry records.
Grande's testimony covered the unusual or unique names of individuals who signed acknowledgment receipts used by the Office of the Vice President and the Department of Education to liquidate their P612.5 million in confidential funds.
