Tamil Nadu Higher Education Minister P. Viswanathan conferred undergraduate and postgraduate degrees at the convocation ceremony of Guru Shree Shantivijai (GSS) Jain College for Women on Monday, and delivered the convocation address.
Mr. Viswanathan asked the graduates to take inspiration from accomplished women achievers and leaders such as Kalpana Chawla, Indira Gandhi, Indra Nooyi, and President Droupadi Murmu. “Education for men and women has come a long way and it is finally equal in our society today. The three years of college are just a beginning. As you graduate, you begin a new chapter in life by spreading your wings,” he said.
