High Court injuncts Sunyani East NPP constituency elections
The Sunyani High Court Two has restrained the New Patriotic Party (NPP) from conducting its constituency executive elections in Sunyani East.
Scheduled for Saturday, July 11 and Sunday, July 12, 2026, the elections were to offer the opportunity for the delegates in the constituency to elect constituency executives for the Election 2028.
The order of the court followed a suit filed by Mr Maxwell Mahama and Mr Prince Baidoo Worae, aspirants who filed their nominations to contest for the constituency elections.
They were among the five aspirants who were disqualified by the Sunyani East Constituency Vetting Committee for various offences that breached the NPP's Constitution.
