The Aringa County Parliamentary Election Petition was filed by Ashirafu Tairi, who contested for the seat on the Uganda Patriotic Movement (UPM) ticket, against Ezama, the National Resistance Movement candidate. Tairi sued Ezama alongside the Electoral Commission.
