The release adds SARCA robot calibration, ATS800 support and Google Sheets integration for metrology-assisted workflows.

Hexagon’s Manufacturing Intelligence business area introduced OPC UA support in SpatialAnalyzer , its software for large-scale metrology and alignment. The integration connects laser measurement data with industrial control systems used by robots and automated production lines, supporting metrology-assisted automation for large and complex parts.

Large-format manufacturers in aerospace, energy and shipbuilding are working to increase production while maintaining precision. In aerospace, Forecast International’s May 2026 Airbus and Boeing orders and deliveries report said the two manufacturers’ combined commercial aircraft order backlogs were more than 16,000 aircraft at the end of May 2026, equal to roughly a decade of production at current delivery rates. Robots alone may not provide the precision needed for large assemblies. OPC UA provides a common communication standard for PLCs, robots and other industrial control systems.
