After weeks of largely dry weather, heavy rains lashed several parts of Telangana on Saturday, September 12, with Kannepalli in Mancherial district recording the highest rainfall of 135.5 mm.
According to data from Telangana Development Planning Society (TGDPS), as of 7 p.m., Kannepalli in Mancherial recorded 135.5 mm rainfall followed by 95.8 mm in Raiparthy (Warangal), 93.8 mm in Vankulam (Kumuram Bheem Asifabad), 81.8 mm in Wardhannapet (Warangal), 78.3 mm in Kesamudram (Mahabubabad), 76.5 mm in Kagaznagar (Kumaram Bheem Asifabad), 65 mm in Karepalle (Khammam), 64.5 mm in Burgampahad (Bhadradri Kothagudem) and 52.8 mm in Golankonda (Yadadri Bhuvanagiri).
The rains also brought a spell of cloudy weather and drizzle to several parts of Hyderabad. The city remained overcast in many areas through the day, with intermittent drizzle reported across several localities.
