Heavy rain continues across Udupi and Dakshina Kannada
Heavy rainfall continues to impact the Udupi and Dakshina Kannada districts of Karnataka, causing significant waterlogging and flooding. Several rivers are nearing danger levels, disrupting traffic and affecting local infrastructure.

Heavy rain continued across Udupi and Dakshina Kannada districts on Tuesday, with swelling rivers causing flooding in Udupi district.
Traffic movement on National Highway-66 in Udupi district was affected following waterlogging on the service road in Kundapur town and Beejadi. The Santhe Market in Kundapur was waterlogged for several hours. Water entered several houses in Ward 7 of Kundapur. Movement of vehicles on Beejadi Fisheries Road was also affected due to waterlogging.
The Varahi, Chakra, Kubja, Sowparnika, Yedamavinahole, Somavati, and other rivers in Kundapur and Byndoor taluks were flowing close to danger levels. There was a possibility of the Kubja River water entering the famed Kamalashile Temple. The Brahmakunda River near Marnakatte Brahmalingeshwara Temple was flowing close to the danger level.
