Heat will give way to thunderstorms: temperatures in Latvia will rise to nearly +30 degrees

Latvia is bracing for a shift in weather as high temperatures reaching nearly 30 degrees will be followed by heavy rain and thunderstorms. Forecasters have warned of potential hazards, including strong wind gusts and high UV radiation levels.
Why it matters
Timely weather reporting is essential for public safety, particularly when rapid changes in conditions pose risks to outdoor activities.
Heat will give way to thunderstorms: temperatures in Latvia will rise to nearly +30 degrees
In the morning, sunny weather will predominantly remain in the eastern part of the country. The western and central regions will have more clouds, and by the afternoon, cloud cover will begin to spread across Latvia.
Rain clouds are expected to arrive from the west. In the western and central regions, there will be heavy downpours accompanied by thunderstorms in some areas.
During the thunderstorm, the weather may change sharply: the wind will strengthen with gusts of up to 15–16 meters per second. Therefore, those planning outdoor activities should consider the possibility of rapid deterioration in weather conditions.
