Heat Is Killing Wildlife Across the Animal Kingdom. A New Forecasting Tool May Help.
A new forecasting tool is being developed to predict extreme heat exposure for terrestrial vertebrates up to nine months in advance. This initiative follows a series of mass wildlife deaths globally, including Asiatic lions in India and howler monkeys in Mexico, attributed to rising temperatures.
