Hearing of an election petition for the Kawempe South Constituency has kicked off today (September 14).
The petition was filed by National Unity Platform's head of mobilisation, Fred Nyanzi, who is contesting the win by National Resistance Movement's Madina Nsereko. The Electoral Commissioner declared Nsereko the winner of the Kawempe South seat after the elections on January 15, 2026.
