Health: AfDB $13m to bolster Ebola response
The African Development Bank has approved $13 million in grants to support Ebola response efforts in the DRC, Uganda, and South Sudan. The funding will be channeled through the WHO and Africa CDC to improve surveillance, diagnosis, and public awareness.

The funding package comprises a grant of $10m drawing on reallocated resources from the Bank Group’s DRC portfolio, and will be channelled through the World Health Organisation (WHO).

The African Development Bank Group has approved grants worth $13m to enhance national emergency responses to the Ebola virus disease (EVD-B) outbreak and strengthen efforts to arrest its spread in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), South Sudan and Uganda.
