HC expresses disappointment over investigation in Nanguneri double murder case

Expressing disappointment over the investigation in the Nanguneri double murder case, the Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court said in such a sensitive case, the investigation had been conducted in a casual manner, without even finding out the real cause of the incident.
The case of the prosecution was that on March 2 at around 7 p.m., a seven member gang armed with deadly weapons unleashed an unprovoked attack on passersby in Perumpathu in Nanguneri in Tirunelveli district.
Two persons: John Mark, a differently abled person and Trinath Kata, a migrant labourer from Odisha, were killed in the attack and a few others sustained serious injuries. It was said the gang had also hurled petrol bombs.
