Haze: Samarahan records very unhealthy API reading, no areas at hazardous level as of 9am
Samarahan in Sarawak has recorded the highest Air Pollutant Index (API) in Malaysia, reaching a very unhealthy level of 230. While no areas are currently at hazardous levels, dozens of locations across the country are reporting unhealthy or moderate air quality.

PETALING JAYA: Samarahan in Sarawak recorded a very unhealthy reading of 230, the highest Air Pollutant Index (API) in the country, as of 9am on Monday (Sept 7), according to the Air Pollutant Index Management System (APIMS).
Langkawi in Kedah and Kangar in Perlis recorded good air quality with API readings of 45 and 40 respectively.
