TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Haze affected 30 flights at Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin (SMB) II International Airport in Palembang, South Sumatra, on Thursday, dropping visibility below minimum flight standards.Ahmad Syaugi Shahab, General Manager of SMB II International Airport in Palembang, said the situation required adjustments to several flights to ensure the safety of passengers and crew.“The departure delay caused by limited visibility due to the haze was implemented to ensure the safety of both passengers and the flight crew,” he said, as quoted by ANTARA.As of 3:00 p.m. local time, visibility conditions fell below the minimum threshold.
