The Karimnagar rural police on Friday seized about 500 grams each of hash oil and ganja, 60 drug tablets, 14 syringes and other equipment, and arrested nine persons at Bommakal near Karimnagar.

Acting on a tip-off, a police team led by Karimnagar Rural Circle Inspector A. Niranjan Reddy detained the nine youths, aged 20 to 25, who hailed from the erstwhile composite Karimnagar and Adilabad districts. Some of them were B.Tech and degree holders, according to a press release.

The seized narcotic substances were valued at around ₹6.5 lakh.
