According to Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg, Bradley Barcola is set to join the Reds from Paris Saint-Germain in a massive deal, as a full verbal agreement has been reached between Liverpool and PSG for a package worth €135-€140 million, including add-ons. There were reports earlier this summer that PSG rejected a previous proposal that amounted to €115 million. Regardless, Plettenberg’s report indicates that the deal is effectively done, with only the final formalities remaining.
Barcola had reportedly agreed personal terms with Liverpool several weeks ago, suggesting that negotiations over the player’s contract were completed well before the clubs finalized the transfer fee.
The remaining steps are expected to be Barcola completing his medical and signing his contract with Liverpool.
