Harry Kane smashes 49-year Bundesliga record with brace for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has rewritten German football history by becoming the fastest player to reach 100 Bundesliga goals, achieving the milestone in just his 98th league appearance during Bayern Munich 's 7-0 victory over Union Berlin .
The England captain broke a mark set 49 years ago by Cologne's Dieter Muller, who required 129 matches in 1977. Kane's remarkable efficiency — averaging a league goal every 78.5 minutes since arriving in 2023 — ensured the record was long inevitable.
He now has 152 goals in 154 appearances in all competitions, including 61 in 51 games last term.
He secured the landmark with a 39th-minute penalty before heading in a Michael Olise cross early in the second half, putting Bayern top of the table ahead of the weekend matches.
