Deputy Floor leader of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) in the Assembly T. Harish Rao has criticised the Congress government for including 300 acres of patta lands of farmers in Ramdaspally of Ibrahimpatnam mandal in the prohibited list under Section 22A of the Registration Act.
He alleged that the Revanth Reddy government did it wilfully with an intention to collect commission from landholders by preventing any transaction of the lands, even if the farmers planned to sell them for family needs. Not only the patta lands of farmers but the lands of three housing layouts and lands allocated to bonded labourers were also included in the prohibited lands list.
