<p>A woman has been charged after a puppy was stolen from her foster home on Auckland’s North Shore.</p> <p>Pebbles, a three-month-old Shar Pei mix, was taken from a property in Birkdale on Friday, Matariki Day, South Auckland Animal Rescue said.</p> <p>In a post to social media, Acting Detective Sergeant Beth Bates said the pup was found by tactical crime unit staff "safe and sound".</p> <p>"It’s a happy ending, but Pebbles is still searching for her forever home," Bates said.</p> <p>South Auckland Animal Rescue said they were "absolutely overjoyed to share that Pebbles is now safely back in our care and will be receiving a full health check with our veterinary team".</p> <p>"We simply…
