Handwritten hoax bomb threat note delays IndiGo flight from Bengaluru

Panic ensued on a flight bound to Ahmedabad from Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) on Thursday after the cabin crew found a handwritten bomb threat message on a piece of paper near the lavatory.
The threat was declared a hoax after an extensive inspection, said an officer investigating the case, adding that the message on the paper read, “Don’t go, bomb hai! Please”.
A member of the cabin crew on the IndiGo flight found the paper and immediately alerted the authorities, triggering the evacuation of passengers about 30 minutes before take off. Following an extensive search and adherence to standard safety protocols, the flight departed after a delay of nearly three hours.
