A State-level handloom exhibition-cum-sale will be held at JSS Mysore Urban from August 26 to September 8 ahead of the Gowri-Ganesh festival.

A statement here said the 14-day exhibition titled ‘Hath Kargha Utsav - My Handloom, My Pride’ will give the people of Mysuru and surrounding areas an opportunity to explore and purchase a wide range of traditional products from different parts of the country under one roof.

The event will be organised with the support of the Development Commissioner (Handlooms), Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, New Delhi, in association with the Department of Handlooms and Textiles, Government of Karnataka; Karnataka State Cooperative Handloom Weavers’ Federation Ltd. (Cauvery Handlooms), Bengaluru; Deputy Director, Department of Handlooms and Textiles, Mysuru; and JSS Mahavidyapeetha – JSS Mysore Urban Haat.
